Privacy Policy

Stubtrip (stubtrip.com) is operated by Pulse & Pause Lab LLC, based in Utah, USA. This page explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect as little as we can, we don't sell your data, and we don't show ads.
What we collect
Search and plan details. When you search for an event or build a plan, we process the event, your starting city, dates, group size, and any preferences you enter. We keep generated plans so that share links keep working and so you can save them to your account.
Search terms. We keep anonymous search terms, with no account or IP attached, so we can see what we don't cover yet.
Email address. If you sign up for updates, sign in, save a plan, or ask to be notified when an artist announces dates, we store your email address. Sign-in uses a one-time link sent to your email; we never store a password.
Session cookie. When you sign in, we set one cookie for sign-in so you stay signed in. It contains a random session ID, not your email or any personal details. It expires after 30 days or when you sign out.
Basic analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages are used. It also counts clicks on our partner links (Ticketmaster, trivago, SeatGeek and flight searches): which partner, which link, what kind of page it was on (an event page or a trip plan, say) and which plan tier, but never which event or trip, and nothing about you. If you arrived from a link with a campaign tag, such as one from our Instagram, the tag's source and campaign name are counted with those clicks for the rest of your visit; your browser keeps them in session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab. It does not use cookies and does not track you across other sites.
Server logs. Like every website, our hosting provider records standard technical data (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and to keep the site running. These logs are kept briefly and are not used to identify you.
What we don't collect
We don't collect payment details (we don't sell anything). We don't collect your precise location. We don't run advertising trackers or sell or rent data to anyone.
Cookies
Stubtrip also sets one first-party cookie on trip and share pages. It holds a random ID that helps us limit how often a single visitor can have new trip plans built, so we can keep the service fast and prevent abuse. It is not used for advertising, is not shared with anyone, and does not identify you. We store IP addresses only in hashed form for the same purpose. Partner sites you visit from Stubtrip, such as hotel booking sites, set their own cookies under their own privacy policies.
Trip and share pages also embed a stay map from our partner Stay22, which shows hotels and rentals around the venue. The map sets its own cookies under Stay22's privacy policy, the same as any partner site you visit from Stubtrip. We pass it only the venue's location, your trip dates and the number of people, never your email or anything that identifies you. Like any embedded content, Stay22 can see your IP address and browser information when the map loads.
How we use it
To build and show you plans, to send the sign-in and notification emails you ask for, to keep the site secure, and to understand which parts of Stubtrip people use so we can improve it.
Who we share it with
We use a few service providers to run the site, and each only receives what it needs for its job: Vercel (hosting and analytics), Neon (database), Resend (sending email), Anthropic (the AI model that writes plan text; it receives the event and trip details, never your email), Ticketmaster (event data), Foursquare (place data), and OSRM (drive times; it receives your home city's coordinates, never your email). We don't share your email with any of the ticket, hotel, or activity sites we link to. Map tiles load from OpenFreeMap and event images from Ticketmaster's image server, so those services see your IP address when a page loads, as with any image or map on the web.
Affiliate links
Some links on Stubtrip are affiliate links. If you click one and book, the other site may pay us a commission. Those sites have their own privacy policies once you're on them; we don't receive your booking details.
Your choices
Every notification email we send includes a way to unsubscribe. You can ask us to delete your account and any saved plans or watch requests by emailing hello@stubtrip.com and we'll do it within 30 days. You can clear the session cookie at any time by signing out or clearing your browser.
Children
Stubtrip is not directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and, for anything significant, email account holders.
